Trump vs glæponar

Trump hótar að draga úr glæpum í fleiri borgum

"President Trump has declared a “public safety emergency” in the nation’s capital, citing high crime and unsafe streets, and he federalized the DC police force last week. He further authorized the use of National Guard troops and deployed federal agents across the city to tackle the rampant crime, homelessness, and illegal immigration crises.

He also put other Democratic leaders in major cities, namely Chicago, New York, and San Francisco, on notice that he is coming to their town next.

"Chicago is a mess. You have an incompetent mayor, grossly incompetent, and we'll straighten that one out probably next," the President told reporters in the Oval Office. "That'll be our next one after this, and it won't even be tough.""

Chicago er... var allt í lagi, svo lengi sem maðður þvældist ekki inn í suðurhlutann.

Hugsanalesandi tæki í smíðum

"Published in the medical journal Cell, the research shows these devices can decode brain signals to produce synthesized speech faster and with less effort.

But this technological leap has raised red flags among critics who warn of a dystopian future where your private thoughts could be exposed.

Nita Farahany, a Duke University law and philosophy professor and author of The Battle for Your Brain, sounded the alarm telling NPR, “The more we push this research forward, the more transparent our brains become.”"

"Ghost in the Shell" er smám saman að verða að veruleika.

Erjur Englendinga við ríkið halda áfram

"While activists describe the displays as an expression of national pride, others have raised concerns because the campaign has received backing from right-wing organizations. The BBC reported that some residents found the flags “intimidating” and provocative at a time of high tensions over migration. Some residents in Birmingham denounced the stunts as “wanton vandalism” and “an excuse for xenophobia.”"

Þetta hljómar allt eins og einhveskonar brandari.

Kaninn getur ekki lengur keypt drasl frá Evrópu

"Postal services in Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Italy said they will stop shipping most merchandise to the U.S. effective immediately. France and Austria will follow Monday, and the United Kingdom Tuesday.

Under a decree signed by President Donald Trump last month, international goods that were previously exempt from U.S. tariffs – those valued under $800 – will be subject to import duties from Aug. 29. Letters, books, gifts and small parcels worth less than $100 will continue to be exempt."

Þetta var það sem Trump vildi. Minni peningur úr landi, meiri peningur á ferli innanlands.

Svona gengur í Úkraníu.
